Rilmac Insulation Ltd Passes HSE Accreditation Review...

Rilmac Insulation Ltd has been buoyed by the news that it has successfully passed its accreditation review by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) to work with asbestos for the next three years.
HSE audited the Lincoln-based company last month to ensure Rilmac Insulation met the stringent standards required to work with asbestos – the greatest single cause of work-related deaths in the UK. All companies operating in asbestos removal and disposal are audited by the HSE on an annual or three year cycle.
Rilmac Insulation received official confirmation of its licence renewal at the beginning of August, bringing the audit to a close.
As only licensed companies are legally entitled to work with asbestos, and with a workforce of 40 undertaking contracts across the country, securing its licence renewal was of paramount importance to the Lincoln operation.
“It may only be a one day inspection by the HSE but a great deal of hard work goes into ensuring the continued standard required to hold a licence,” said Geoff Ross, Director of Rilmac Asbestos Services. “We pride ourselves on delivering the highest possible levels of service to our clients and this is reflected in the processes and procedures we follow. The Health and Safety Executive examined every aspect of our business and I am delighted to say that we passed with flying colours. It is great news that we have been reaccredited and we’re looking forward to growing our asbestos removal business over the next three years.”
Rilmac Insulation was amongst the first companies to be licensed to work with asbestos. Since its inception the organisation has grown to a turnover in excess of £3.4m and undertakes contracts for local authorities, hospitals, power stations, retailers and commercial clients.
